Disney has formed a specialised Metaverse team to investigate the ‘New Storytelling Frontier.’

Disney has set up a dedicated team of senior executives and staff to manage the company’s foray into the metaverse.
Mike White, an executive who has been with Disney for over a decade, would manage a team that comprises top officials, according to Reuters and the BBC, who claim to have received a Disney internal letter circulated to staff on the matter.
According to media reports, White has been named Senior Vice President of Next Generation Storytelling and Consumer Experiences, and he has been tasked with creating a consumer experience for the Disney metaverse. “Work with Disney’s creative teams,” according to his team, which is purportedly made up of “top leaders.”
It will apparently report to Kareem Daniel, the head of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, as well as Josh D’Amaro, the head of parks, experiences, and products at the entertainment conglomerate.
This fact could indicate that Disney plans to build a physical location where visitors can experience its metaverse.
According to the document, Disney CEO Bob Chapek called the metaverse “the next great storytelling frontier” and the “ideal venue to pursue our strategic pillars of storytelling excellence, innovation, and audience attention.”
He went on to say that “teams across the organisation” were “exploring this new canvas,” and that he was “blown away” by their efforts so far.
According to reports, the CEO wrote:
“Today, we have the chance to connect those universes and establish a completely new paradigm for how audiences interact with and experience our tales.”
However, this is merely the most recent step in Disney’s metaverse pivot. “In our own Disney Metaverse,” Chapek said during a quarterly earnings call in November 2021, the company would “be able to connect the real and digital worlds even more closely, allowing for narrative without limits.”
It was given a patent in the United States for a “virtual-world simulator in a real-world setting” about a month later.
Disney has taken non-fungible token (NFT) efforts as well, unveiling its own Valentine’s Day-themed products earlier this month — and, according to Fox Business, hiring an NFT “specialist” manager.
We are the biggest NFT marketing agency with the reach over 30 million people.
