In a tweet earlier today, 3LAU, the owner of Royal, the NFT music marketplace, targeted the Antonym initiative. However, 3LAU and @ammtonym, the originator of Antonym, have chatted extensively since then.
The two chatted over DMs, with the 3LAU admitting he was out of order. 3LAU and @ammtonym, in fact, both opted to donate $100,000 to a Ukrainian humanitarian fund.
The controversy began when 3LAU questioned the project’Phygital’s legitimacy. He referred to it as a great marketing strategy and used the word ‘bullshit’ to describe it. He also questioned a closed Discord and the project’s genuine relationship between physical and digital services.
However, the manner in which he inquired seemed to irritate the majority of Twitter users. “PS I still admit I could have handled this all a little better, and maybe could have picked a better project to pick on,” 3LAU subsequently apologised. Everyone makes mistakes now and then, and it’s always a good idea to admit it.
3LAU later posted a thread explaining his conversation with @ammtonym, including what he learnt and what he wants clarified.
It’s wonderful to see communication being used to fix the problem. Meanwhile, the $100,000 each donation to the Ukrainian relief fund will benefit a large number of people in need.
